In the second section, you can choose the layout type to display variations/children or configurable products: Layout1 (Matrix View) or Layout2(Grid View).

Also, you can show or hide stock status & qty, tier price tooltip, old price, subtotal, total summary (summary total and qty of selected variations/items), and the reset button on the matrix/grid table.

To enable the matrix/grid table per specific configurable product, go to CATALOG ⟶ Catalog ⟶ Products, select the product. Under the edit product page, set the 'Enable Matrix Table For This Product?' field to Yes.
