Magento 2 by default does not allow importing discount codes in bulks, and the default functionality to generate coupon codes is limited.
As a result, it's difficult for store admins to bulk upload their personalized/customs coupons for marketing campaigns and promotions.
Solutions
Magento 2 Coupon/Discount Codes Import solution extends the default functionality, by adding a function to import discount codes in bulk. The extension allows store admins to mass import their personalized discounts codes using plain-text (copy/paste), CSV, or TXT files.
As a result, store admins can import their discount codes in bulk and instantly assign multiple discount codes to the cart price rule they need. Also, it helps store admins to import and use codes generated by a system other than Magento 2.

Magento 2 Coupon/Discount Codes Import Extension allows importing any number of discount codes via plain-text, CSV, or text files. All imported discount codes appear directly at the grid. All imported coupons will automatically inherit all setting values from the main cart price rule.

Display errors messages: the extension display detailed errors messages (eg. duplicate coupons codes import, not allowed file types, and more) on each import
Display Success messages: when the import goes well, a success message is displayed along with an Infos on total coupons codes imported
