Magento 2 Image Gallery Pro - Bulk Photos Upload Extension
Introduction
The Image Gallery Pro extension allows creating an unlimited number of photo and video gallery and display at any page and position of the store. Upload one or multiple photos at once (bulk/mass upload).
Installation
The extension has 2 separate ways of installation via Composer or by copying the code.
Please follow this Installation Guide to install the extension.
Extension Configuration
Configuration Settings
To configure the extension, log into the Magento 2 Backend and go to STORES ⟶ Configuration ⟶ ULMOD EXTENSIONS ⟶ Gallery.
General
Enable the extension - set to "Yes" to enable the extension in the storefront;
Gallery Layout - choose the type of layout to display the gallery:
Gallery Without Filters (Default) : galleries display in the storefront without filters. You can configure the following :
- Image Per Page - enter the number of photos to display per gallery page (pager);
- Lightbox Theme - choose the photo lightbox theme, Light or Dark
Gallery With Filters: galleries will display with filters. In the Filters Display field, choose:
- Images of Any Size - if your photos are of any size. Eg: photos with different width and height;
- Images of the Same Size - if your photos are of same size. Eg: same width and height;
- Images of Same Height - if your photos are of the same height. Eg: all your photos have same height;
- Images of Same Width - if your photos are of the same width. Eg: all your photos have the same width;
- Enable Image Shuffle - set to Yes to display the shuffle button in the filter block, allowing users to shuffle the photos in random order and rearrange them on the screen;
- Enable Image Sorting (ASC, DESC) - set to "Yes" to display the ASC and DESC buttons on the filter block, allowing users to sort photos based on a certain attribute in ascending or descending order and rearrange them on the screen;
- Enable Searching Image Item - set to "Yes" to display a search box on the filter block, allowing users to instantly search photo by any keywords;
- Lightbox Theme - choose the lightbox theme to display the photo: Light or Dark.
Move Gallery Name and Description on Item? - choose "Yes", to display gallery name and description in the form of a caption on the item.
Move Photo Name and Description on Item? - choose "Yes", to display photo name and description in the form of a caption on the item
Set Show Grayscale on Gallery Item? and Show Grayscale on Photo Item? set to "Yes", to show grayscale on each item and the original color will show on hover.
Index Page
Title - enter the title to appear at the top of the gallery page.
Gallery URL (Route) - enter the URL of the gallery page. Eg "photo-gallery".
Show Gallery Description - if "Yes", enter a brief description to appear below the gallery block
specify the Meta Keywords and Meta Description of the gallery page.
Links
set Display Gallery In Top Links: to Yes, to display Gallery link in the top links of the page.
Link Text: defines the gallery link text to appear on the top links. Eg "Gallery", "Gallery Photo"
set Display Gallery In Footer: to Yes, to display Gallery link in the footer of the page
Link Text: defines the gallery link text to appear on the footer. Eg "Gallery Photo"
Managing Gallery
To view, edit or create a new gallery, please go to CONTENT ⟶ Gallery by Ulmod ⟶ Gallery.
All galleries are displayed on the grid. You can delete, enable, disable galleries in bulk or separably.
To create a new Gallery click "Add New Gallery" button and configure the gallery:
General
Set Enable: to "Yes" to enable the gallery in the storefront. Specify the Name and Description of the gallery that appears in the storefront.
Template: choose the template to display gallery photos, "Grid" or "Slider". Please note that this feature is applicable to layout type: "Gallery without filters" only. Make sure to set Gallery Layout to "Gallery without filters" under STORES ⟶ Configuration ⟶ ULMOD EXTENSIONS ⟶ Gallery Pro. General section, before using this feature.
Specify the gallery's Sort Order. The highest position is zero.
Gallery Thumbnail: the photo selected at the "Use As Gallery Thumbnail" under the "Photos" tab will be used.
Search Engine Optimization
URL Key enters the URL key of the gallery.
Meta Keywords: specify the meta keywords the search engines can use to index the page. Separate multiple words with a comma.
Meta Description enters a brief description of the page for search results listings.
Gallery In Websites & Customer Groups
select the store view(s) and customer group(s) to display the gallery
Photo(s)
All assigned photos to the gallery appear at the grid
To add assign photo to the gallery, click "Add Photos".
In the assign photo's grid, mark the checkbox of any photo you want to assign to the gallery, and click "Add Selected Photos".
Managing Photos
To view, edit or create a new photo, please go to CONTENT ⟶ Gallery Pro by Ulmod ⟶ Photos. Click "Add Photo(s)" button to upload photo(s).
You can upload one or multiple photos at once. Png, jpg, jpeg file formats are supported.
Click or drag and drop to add/upload photos, then click "Save" to save photos.
To edit a photo, click on the Action -> edit link from the photos grid. On the photo edit page, you can :
set Enable: set to "No" to disable the photo, or leave to "Yes" to keep it enabled in the storefront.
change photo Name and Description to appear in the storefront.
In the Name and Description Per Store field, if you want to use a different photo name and description per store view, click on the Add button and define the photo name and description per store view.
to display a video instead of the photo at the lightbox, set Display Video in Lightbox to "Yes" and enter the Video URL to show on a lightbox. Youtube and Vimeo are supported.
In the Galleries list, select each gallery where the photo is to be available.
Enter a number in the Sort Order field to determine the order of the photo in the gallery. The highest position is zero.
Gallery Widget
The widget allows displaying galleries on any page and position in the store. To view, edit or create a new Gallery widget, go to CONTENT ⟶ Element ⟶ Widget.
To create a Gallery Widget click "Add Widget" button. Then, complete the settings to create the widget;
Settings
The extension supports 2 widget types: "Gallery Pro With Filters (by Ulmod)" and "Gallery Pro Without Filters (by Ulmod)";
If Gallery Without Filters (Default) the photo of the selected, the gallery will display in the storefront without filters. If Gallery With Filters is selected, all available photos will display in the storefront with filters.
Type - choose "Gallery Pro With Filters (by Ulmod)" or "Gallery Pro Without Filters (by Ulmod)". Then, tap Continue
Design Theme - choose the design theme which is set to the current theme. Tap Continue
Storefront Properties
Under Storefront Properties, do the following:
In the Widget Title field, enter a descriptive Gallery title for internal reference only.
Set Assign to Store Views to the view where the Gallery will be available.
Enter a number in the Sort Order field to determine the order of the Gallery if it appears in the same position as other content elements. The highest position is zero.
Layout Updates
In the Layout Updates section, tap Add Layout Update.
Set Display On to the type of page where the Gallery is to appear.
In the Block Reference list, choose the area of the page layout where the Gallery is to be placed.
Widget Options (Type: Gallery With Filters)
Block Title enter the title to appear above the Gallery block.
Block Description enter the description to appear above the Gallery block.
enable or disable Photo Shuffle, Sorting and Searching
Lightbox Theme choose the lightbox theme of the photo
Widget Options (Gallery Without Filters)
enter the Block Title and Block Description to appear above the Gallery block.
Gallery - select the gallery to display photos;
Photos Limit - enter the maximum photos to display. Example: 10. Default: 5;
Template - choose the template to display photo: Grid or Slider;
Save the widget, flush cache and check at the frontend.
Frontend View
Galleries will display in the storefront on the index page. Eg www.mysite.com/gallery
